Zavio IP cameras include a 64 channel NVR software license that turns a Windows PC into a network video recorder.
The Zavio IP camera software that is included with Zavio cameras includes the following apps: main console recording software, remote live camera viewer, remote playback, remote backup, and video file verification tool. The above screenshot shows the main console recording software with 4 IP cameras at CCTV Camera Pros office. Each Zavio IP camera includes a license code in the box that enables it to be added to the recording software. This article will familiarize customers with the user interface, functions, and controls built into Zavio IP camera software.
Software Installation
When installing the Zavio software users can choose a complete or custom installation. Please note that this software will only run on Windows. Macintosh users can follow these instructions to view Zavio IP cameras and control their NVR from Mac, but there is currently no Mac recording software available. Mac users can perform all other functions except using a Mac as an NVR.
If you choose the custom installation option, you are presented with the following options.

Main Console / Recording Software
The Main Console is the recording software that runs on a Windows PC. It supports recording up to 64 Zavio IP cameras.
These are the main controls / function built into the user interface. You can read the complete Zavio software user guide here.
Video Display Options
Users can select from a variety of camera displays / grid based on the number of IP cameras they are using.
Recorded Video Search & Playback
The playback software is installed on a Windows PC that can be used to access you NVR(s) remotely to search and playback video surveillance footage that has been recorded to the NVR hard drive.
When a user selects the Playback button, the screen displayed above appears. Here the user will be able to select the exact date and time they wish to playback. The saved video will be color-coded based on the type of recording. Always record will be represented in red, record on event is represented in blue, record on motion will be represented in green and boosting recording is represented in purple.
After the user has selected the desired date and time, the video playback player appears as shown above. Here the user will be able to play, fast forward and reverse the recorded video. The controls on the right will allow the user to do various things such as exporting the video, printing a snapshot and viewing the recorded video log to name a few.
Remote Live View
The live software can be installed on a Windows PC to access live video views of the Zavio IP cameras connected to PC based and stand-alone Zavio NVRs.

These are the main controls available in the live view application.
Remote Backup
The backup application allows users to log in to a Zavio NVR remotely, select a time-frame of recorded video, and backup the video to the remote PC.
To backup video, a simple-to-use interface is used to select the time-frame and the cameras to backup from. When the user clicks OK, they are given the option to also export that backup player. This allows the user to distribute both the video and player to other viewers if needed.

IP Camera Setup for Zavio NVR Software
Zavio IP Cameras include NVR software for Windows PCs that supports up to 64 cameras. The Zavio NVR software allows users record surveillance video from their IP cameras to the Windows PC hard drive. The software supports remote access and camera viewing from mobile apps and desktop software. iPhone and Android apps are available for free. Windows and Mac remote access are also supported. All apps support live camera viewing and recording video playback.
The NVR software has a built-in camera locator that scans your network for all Zavio cameras. This makes it very easy to add your cameras to the software. These instructions will show you how this is done. If you have not already installed the software on your PC, please do that before starting these instructions.
IP Camera Setup
2.Launch the NVR software. Then locate and click the General Settings button. Select Setting, followed by System Setting. (Shown Below)
4.Select the cameras you wish to add, then enter the Username and Password. Then click OK. (Shown Below)
5.You will then be prompted by your firewall to allow access. Click Allow Access. (Shown Below)
6.You should now see your camera(s) displayed. (Shown Below) Repeat steps 3 & 4 for up to 64 cameras.
CamGraba PTZ Camera Setup
The Zavio CamGraba NVR surveillance software gives users the ability to manage and record their Zavio IP cameras on a local network. Another great feature of CamGraba is the option to control PTZ cameras. Users can manually control the PTZ or set up a preset tour to run automatically. The camera used in this article was the Zavio-P5110 (Wireless Version – Zavio-P5115).
CamGraba PTZ Camera Setup
The instructions below explain how to set up a Zavio PTZ camera on the CamGraba surveillance NVR software.
1. Make sure the Zavio IP PTZ camera is connected to the same network as the PC you have CamGraba installed on. Then launch the CamGraba program.
2. On the main CamGraba screen, click the General Settings icon. (Shown Below)
3. Then go to the Camera tab and click Search.
4. Then select the PTZ camera and enter the Username and Password. (By default the Username is – admin and the Password is – admin)
5. Now click OK, followed by OK again. (Step 3 – 5 Shown Below)
6. You should now see your Zavio PTZ camera on the live grid display. Click on the PTZ’s grid and use the PTZ controls to the right to control it. (Shown Below)
Zavio CamGraba Password Reset Instructions
The instructions below explain how to reset the password for the Zavio CamGraba surveillance NVR software.
1. Download the RegEx.exe and save it to your desktop. (RegEx is the application used to remove the password from CamGraba)
2. Now click the Start button in the lower left corner of the screen and navigate to Computer. Once inside Computer, double-click Local Disk (C:) and then double-click Program Files (The Zavio CamGraba may be in the Program Files (x86) folder). (Shown Below)
3. In the Program Files (or Program Files (x86) folder, locate the Zavio CamGraba IP System folder and double-click it. (Shown Below)
4. Now drag the RegEx.exe file from your desktop and move it to the Zavio CamGraba IP System folder. (Shown Below)
5. Once RegEx.exe is in the Zavio folder, go ahead and double-click RegEx.exe. The application should appear, once it does click Invalidate Password. Then click Yes to confirm the reset. (Shown Below)
6. Now launch the Zavio CamGraba Main Console, you will be prompted to enter a new password. (Shown Below)
